Shortbread biscuits (with butter) filled with ground on sight dried figs from Sicily.

We buy whole figs so they can be processed in the laboratory before the biscuits are made to keep the fig soft, as it tends to dry out. The care and attention taken in choosing the dried figs ensures that the result is an excellent dessert biscuit.
