Despite appearances, Felino salami can be included among the light charcuteries, a characteristic that make it a very special product, together with its delicate flavour and softness.
It is produced is a small village called Felino, and it takes its name from this small village, that is a perfect place for ageing this salami: in fact, it is located 185 metres above sea level in a windy environment with a mild climate.
The Ministry of Agricultural Policies and the Emilia-Romagna region have recognised Felino salami as a “Traditional Agri-food Product”, earning it the European “IGP” (Protected Geographical Indication) certification.
