Mustaccioli are biscuits covered with sesame seeds, enriched in cocoa and cinnamon with pieces of whole Sicilian almonds.
The term mustaccioli comes from the Latin word "mustaceum" which indicated a dessert whose main ingredient was cooked wine. Over time the ingredients of mustaccioli have been enhanced and distinguished in several regional variations. In addition to being known as Mustaccioli, they are also called Mostaccioli or Mustazzola.
Like all Forno Impero products, they are prepared by hand.
